Early Days

G. Howard Lund founded his company in Minnesota in 1948 after building his first aluminum duck boat. A salesman ordered 50 of these crafts and Lund continued to build them, finally incorporating his company as Lund Metal Craft, Inc., in 1961. This was around the same time as when they began to build fiberglass boats for fishing. Purchasing Shell Lake Boat Company allowed Lund to manufacture family boats and sport boats, further expanding their already impressive catalog. You’ll find Lund® boats in lakes and rivers around the country, and you’ll also spot them competing in fishing events.
 

Models

Lund® boats are primarily designed for utility purposes, with a streamlined exterior and plenty of power. You can choose between sport boats, fishing boats, hunting boats, and utility boats.
